Human Resources Coordinator

Full Time | Day Shift

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, development, management and care of our most important asset, our employees, in accordance with federal and state regulations and facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities of a Human Resources Coordinator:

Recruitment & Onboarding Process

  • Work with Directors, Department Heads, other members of the Human Resources team, and external recruitment partner to determine employment needs and assist in the fulfillment of the same.
  • Assist with screening applicants for hire.
  • Conduct criminal background checks and schedule BCI's for potential new hires.
  • Launch online onboarding for new hires; follow-up with candidates throughout the process to ensure timely completion.
  • Schedule new hire orientation.
  • Prepare employee ID badges.
  • Maintain understanding of current open positions and participate in weekly meetings with external recruitment partner for information sharing and to ensure up-to-date employment advertisements.
  • Participate in local in-person recruitment events such as job fairs and facilitate informational presentations for local job seekers.
  • Responsible for overall scheduling and administration of the centralized new employee orientation program. This includes booking space, inviting, and confirming participants, scheduling speakers, ensuring lunch, and partial presentation of the 3-day program.

Employee Relations

  • Interpret personnel policies and procedures for employees.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere in which staff are comfortable in approaching you with problems, issues and suggestions.
  • Maintain current and past employee personnel files.
  • Assure all licensed personnel have updated copies of licenses in personnel file.
  • Update employee records and personnel files in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel information.
  • Process employee changes in status.
  • Create, send, receive, and properly file correspondences.
  • Assist with benefit enrollments, changes, and billing. Review payroll deductions and match with benefit invoices to ensure proper billing on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in maintaining performance evaluations and with annual review process.
  • Assist in the planning, development and execution of employee retention, recognition, and appreciation events.
  • Provide public information (i.e., verification of employment, wages etc. ) in accordance with current laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for administering the leave of absence process (including FMLA, ADA, TCI, WC, etc.)

Qualifications for a Human Resources Coordinator:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College Degree or College Courses in HR preferred.
  • 2 Years of Experience in Human Resources in a Generalist-type role preferred.
  • Experience with Paylocity integrated HR platform preferred.
  • Computer/MicroSoft Windows experience required.
